Following a period of engagement with parents and other key stakeholders during 2021, January 2022 saw the coming together of The Stroud and Cotswolds Alternative Provision School (SCAPS) and The Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Alternative Provision School (CTAPS) as a single institution renamed Severn Valley School.

About this service
We're here for you to provide support throughout your journey from your 28+ week antenatal contact through to your two year developmental review.
- 28 weeks - antenatal contact
- 7-14 day new birth visit
- 6-8 week postnatal visit
- 4 month introduction to solid food
- 9-12 month developmental review
- 2 year developmental review
The Health Visiting Service is continuing to provide drop-in community baby hubs across the county. Please contact your local team on the numbers provided below, who will inform you of the locations and access our website for this information.
One-to-one, face-to-face baby clinic appointments can also be booked by telephoning your local HV team.
Ages and Stages (ASQ) 1 and 2-year developmental reviews are all being offered as face-to-face appointments in our clinics. Included in the 2-year review is a new early language identification measure (ELIM). This is made up of an Assessment – Conversation – Intervention with the child’s parent/carer. The purpose of which is to ensure early help is put in place with specialist resources for those children that require it.
